Plate & Pitchfork’s Favorite Ways to Eat & Drink Local
1. Shop at your neighborhood farmers market.
2. Plant a kitchen garden in your backyard.
3. Look for locally grown produce, meats and pantry items at the grocery store (and if you can't find something,be sure to put in a request!).
4. Sign up for a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture).
5. Put your kids to work! Take them berry picking.
6. Eat at restaurants that support local farmers, ranchers, cheesemakers, winemakers, etc., (check out our participants page for suggestions).
7. Visit a farm stand, (we love the Smith Berry Barn and Baggenstos Farm, and there are many others).
8. Drink a delicious bottle of Oregon wine, a pint of Oregon brewed beer or a refreshing cocktail crafted with local spirits.
9. Preserve the bounty! Practice the fine art of canning during the summer season, and reap your rewards year-round.
10. Come to a Plate & Pitchfork dinner!
